Had bought Chetan Bhagat’s “The 3 mistakes of my life” the day before. I was planning to read it in Ahmedabad. My friend had said that the novel is based in Ahmedabad. So I’d get the FEEL. Unfortunately for ME, I finished the book in the train itself. That’s my fastest book completion EVER!!
The thing about trains is that..There’s always a new experience waiting for you whenever you travel through trains..Inter-state trains leave a lot to be learned.. :o
There was this one lady. I’ve GOT to tell you about her!
You see there are many, MANY hawkers and fruit sellers, etc roaming around in the train selling stuff.
What this lady did was, she called the guy, asked the rate of the product, tried to bargain, and got her price too! The thing is, she didn’t buy the item. She just bargained.
“Hey u, what’s the price for this packet?”
-“10 bux”
-“Make it 7”
-“Ok 7”
Then she just turned her head away to peep outside the window seat. And the kid whole selling the product is like, “Ma’am, do u want this @ 7?”. She gives a sad expression telling him that she wasn’t interested. Bah! The train moves on.
Btw, I DIDN’T get the window seat (boo hoo). And on top of that, the people sitting on the window seat and the one next to it were an old married couple. They didn’t give a rat’s ass about the window seat. They were SLEEPING on the window seat. They were taking turns at the window seat, and were dozing off one after the other at the window. I mean, wtf? Give me the seat damnit :@ lol
Anyway, I didn’t ask for it. I was busy reading my book after that..
